Not too long ago, I used to LOVE Fridays. It was an indication that my work week was coming to anend and my personal life was coming to life! Friday was a day for happy hours and perfect night date nights. I knew that on Friday I could stay out late, party, and drift toward Saturday morning having fun. I almost (almost) welcomed hangovers because it meant I had lived Friday to its fullest.
Now, I hate Fridays. They have become a reminder of my failure. I know that if Friday comes around, and I haven't received a call back or gone to an interview, it is unlikely anything will happen on Friday. Monday is full of hope and energy, but as Friday nears I dread having to face the fact that another week has gone by and no one has given me an opportunity. Furthermore, the social engagments I used to get excited about are an inmeasureable emotional challenge. The thought of having to recite my un-employment over and over again to friends and family is something I avoid.
But everyone has a breaking point, and everything has an upside. Halfway through the day I tell myself that life is meant to be enjoyed, that money doesn't buy happiness, and that I have full control over how much I chose to enjoy this moment.
Time to hop to it Friday is in fact here.
Enjoy your weekend.

Hello!
Hello, my fellow job seekers!
I have been un-employed for about 2months. I realize there are a lot of other people looking for job right now and perhaps sharing my story will let others know that they aren't alone in this process. Many times while I have been looking for a job I have googled terms like: "How long should it take to get a call back after an interview?" and some of the posts I have found have helped me get this far.
Thanks in advance for listening.
